About the American Legion Auxiliary

Our Mission

 In the spirit of Service, Not Self, the mission of the American Legion Auxiliary is to support The American Legion and to honor the sacrifice of those who serve by enhancing the lives of our veterans, military, and their families, both at home and abroad. For God and Country, we advocate for veterans, educate our citizens, mentor youth, and promote patriotism, good citizenship, peace and security.

Eligibility Requirements

 (1) Grandmothers, mothers, sisters, spouses, and direct and adopted female descendants of members of The American Legion


  (2) Grandmothers, mothers, sisters, spouses, and direct and adopted female descendants of all men and women who were in the Armed Forces of the United Sates during either of the following periods: April 6, 1917, to November 11, 1918; and any time after December 7, 1941, who served on active duty in the Armed Forces of the United States during either eligibility periods and died in the line of duty or after honorable discharge


 (3) Those women who of their own right are eligible for membership in The American Legion. A woman who is eligible for American Legion membership
